The Icon Grabber is a utility that retrieves the shortcut icon for a selected web page and converts the icon into a more useful format. Search Plugin Validator

The Search Plugin Validator is a tool that will verify the syntax of your search plugin, or you can simulate searches with your plugin. The search simulation even has a debug mode so that you can see how Mozilla will parse the search results page with your plugin's parsing rules.
